1962
President Kennedy was in town for a fund raiser and the paper published the route he would be taking. My girlfriends and I went and stood on the corner of what was really an industrial area. We were the only ones standing there. When the motorcade came and he saw us he had the driver slow down and waved and smiled at us. We really didn't meet him but it still was a thrill for us girls.
