Looking Forward
Revolver blow-up
near McGowan Creek, Oregon
1979
Still dunno what caused this, but my .44 special Charter Arms Bulldog "let go" in my hand. Tore off the top strap and top of the cylinder. Could feel hot powder granuals sprinkling over my arms, at the shot, as the gun recoiled straight down. Believe it or not, I came away without a single scratch. Coulda put a major hole in my noggin that day, if things had gone just a bit differently.
