June 1958
Graduate from High School, began working for the Phone Company, and got my own place in 2 years after graduation. Neat place, 3rd floor apt. in a house. It was here I began reading and doing my own studying of Eastern Philosophy, the existentalists, physics, and the Russian authors. Began listening to Jazz in a serious way. Discovered
Nina Simone, Art Blakley,et al, and deep south hill singing of mostly old celtic songs.
They kept the old call and reply form of singing.
