Blue Ribbon - Wild Pony Chase

Belt Montana Rodeo circa 5/27/1961.
Wild Pony Chase event came up and Paw picked me up and set me in the corral; much to my surprise!
The ponies were released and all the other kids went screaming toward the herd. Me and a lone pony stepped aside from the madness. I slowly walked up and put my lasso over the ponies head, as the crew of kids pushed the other ponies back out of the corral. I won the Blue Ribbon & Loving Cup. I have the cup to this day.
Life lesson: To follow the crowd is to lose.
