To date, my life is like the patchwork quilts I love so much. Some of this and that all pieced together by love and courage and my God. Only He knows what His plans are, I just have to trust.

West Virginia October 15, 2004
I quit my job, Mother and I sold our home and we moved to Short Gap, West Virginia. Loved it there.

The Chamber of Commerce January 3, 1998
I began a career as the Executive Director of a Chamber of Commerce. I also entered the world of good ole boy politics. I lasted five years, but it took a toll. Lots to be proud of, but it was an eye opener.

Return to College August 1992
I took classes at Lake Sumter Community College and Florida Christian College. I also began working in the LSCC Library.

Losing Steve July 18, 1991
My husband of 23 years was killed in an automobile accident. How would I go on?

Going To College August 1987
Having graduated in 1968, I finally entered college at Florida Christian College. I was 37 with two children. I drove one and one half hours one way. I made the Dean's list and ranked 13th in the school that first term. I loved it.

Losing My Dad November 18, 1986
One of the most devastating events of my life. My dad was only 65. He was the kind of guy you thought would live forever.

Another Move August 14, 1986
My husband lost a very good job with Union Carbide when the plant closed in Speedway, IN. He wanted to move to Florida. We did. The ocean is beautiful, but I prefer the gulf. A lot of sad things happened here. I pretty much wish we had not come here.

Summer of the Truck Garden July 15, 1978
One summer, my friend, Anna and I planted this huge truck garden. We did not sell much, but I lost a lot of weight and had a great tan. We raised strawberries and sweet corn, and green beans and so much more.
